I¹ve always liked working with people.  Married just after high school, I started in a South Lyon hardware store with my first husband. It was long hours and hard work, and I liked it. We had three children and between being a mom and the store my life was very full. But in my early thirties I wanted to do more.  I began an education and work path in nursing that led to my master¹s degree in 1998.  I have served as a nurse at the V.A., St Joe¹s, and now I am a nurse manager for the Cancer Center at University Hospital. I practice yoga and am blessed with great health so I plan to work at least another five years. I feel lucky in my friends. I am very close to my mom and brothers  and to my grown up children, who have each been successful and who each have two children. I am really in a good place and very content.
