I was married and had my first son after graduation. After my husband
Lou gratuated from Michigan in 1965 he was commissioned in the Air
Force and we were off to 21 years active duty, he as a fighter pilot, me
as an officers wife. We lived in TX, England, Panama, ID, OH, and SC
to name a few places. We had a second son in 1970 while we were
living in the Canal Zone in Panama.
What has been your occupation(s) over the past 50 years? Tell us
about any highlights or cool things that you’ve been a part of.
When I had both the boys in school I went to a community college and
recieved my nursing degree. I worked neonatal intensive care for 15
years. After my husband retired, we ended up in Gainesville, FL where
he taught Junior ROTC and I went back to school for a batchlors and
masters degree in accounting at the Univ of Florida. I ran my own
accounting practice for 15 years before I retired a few years ago.
Where are you living?
We moved to San Antonio to the Air Force Village a year ago.
Are you retired? If so, what are you doing in retirement?
We live in an independent retirement community that is a curise ship
without the water. We play golf, bridge, mah jong, pickle ball, pool,
crafts, just to name a few. In short we just have fun now.
Are you married? What’s your spouse’s name?
My husband is Louis Rajczi. He is from Allen Park and is a graduate
of the Univ of Mich.
Do you have kids? Where are they & what are they up to?
My oldest son is Louis Jr. He is married to Karen. They live in Los
Gatos, CA where Louis is a company President and Karen is an
excutive assistant for Girs On The Run. My second son is Chris. He is
married to Jane and they live in Allen, TX (a suburb of Dallas). Chris is
in computers and his wife is an accountant.
How about grandchildren? How many? How old? Where are they?
But wait! What about great grand-kids?!!?
I have four grandchildren. Ian is 19 and a freshman at San Diego
State and Marissa 16 a sophmore in high school - the CA set. Then
there is Ryan 11 and Sara 9 - the TX group.
What’s your favorite hobby (or hobbies)?
I like golf and hand crafts and we like to travel.
Have you had any adventures you’d care to tell us about?
After my husband returned from SE Asia we lived 4 years in the
Panama Canal Zone. We came back to the states and then did 2 tours
in England for a total of 7 years.
What else would you like us to know about?
My husband and I will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversery next
year. Also, my twin, Merle Henry, who also is class of \'63 lives just 3
hours north (the closest we have been together since high school).
