What interests/activities do you find most satisfying?
I love serving at our church and in our community. I love to read, do
Bible Study, and travel. We have spent the last 4 summers in Estes
Park, CO camping and having family come up to visit. We took two
months and traveled to Israel, Spain and Italy.
I love to sing and play flute. I exercise and try and keep up with our
townhome chores!
Did you have experiences in High School that influenced later
choices in your life?
Of course!! After beginning flute in junior high, I knew I wanted to major
in music. So I took choir courses, music appreciation in addition to
band. Participating in our senior musical, The Music Man, has
influenced my lifelong love of musical theatre.
Do you have any memories from High School that you would like
to share?
I loved Mr. Schwab, my biology teacher, and Mr. Massmann, the
orchestra director. My Spanish classes were great - I would have
studied harder had I known I would be living in Florida and Texas!!!
I loved all the music of the 60's - still do! I wonder what happened to
some of my old boyfriends who weren't in my class, like Gordon Adams
and Jon Peter!
Marching band rehearsals at the crack of dawn - holding our leg up
while our band director would lecture us! The fun of playing the shows
on the football field at half-time. Great years!
What else would you like us to know about?
I'm a BIG UM fan!! I follow all the football and basketball games and
am so proud of them! I took great courses at AAHS that I later
discovered weren't offered at most high schools!
I'm a Christian and have had a wonderful life. I'm so grateful to God for
the tremendous blessings He has given me.
