What did you do right after we graduated?

Had a great summer, then in the fall went to work for Michigan Bell

Telephone Co.

What has been your occupation(s) over the past 50 years? Tell us

about any highlights or cool things that you’ve been a part of.

I have been a telephone operator, receptionist, secretary, and taught

Ice Skating for the City of Ann Arbor.

Where have you lived, and where do you live now?

I have lived in Norfolk, Va in the late 60's. Then move back to Ann

Arbor in 1970. I have lived in my home for 42 years.

Are you retired? If so, what are you doing in retirement?

I retired in 2007 after my 4th open heart surgery. I am enjoying

retirement but wish the aches and pain didn't come along with it.

Please tell us about your family, spouse/s, children,

grandchildren, etc.

I am married to my wonderful husband David VandenBosch for 47

years. Because of my heart problems I don't have children but have

taken care of all my nieces & nephews which gave me great

satisfaction.

What interests/activities do you find most satisfying?

I enjoyed Ice Skating but don't do that any more. I enjoy going up north

and just relaxing.
